Lecture, Tasting, or Gongfu Tea Ceremony

You've done happy hours. You've done yoga. This is quieter, and it stays with people longer. All three formats below can be shaped to your team, your occasion, and your space.

1. lecture-style

The cultural and sensory world of tea, told as a story. We trace tea from its origins in ancient China through the trade routes that carried it across continents, into the daily rituals of cultures as different as Japan, Morocco, and Britain. Participants leave understanding why tea is the world's most consumed beverage and what that says about humanity, hospitality and the civilizations we build around a cup..

Best for AAPI Heritage Month · Lunar New Year · International Tea Day · Mental Health Awareness Month · Stress Awareness Month

2. Tasting Session

A guided journey through four to six teas from different regions and traditions — green, white, oolong, pu-er, and beyond. Each tea is introduced by its origin, its processing, and its story before the room tastes together. No expertise required; the senses do the work.

Best for team bonding · client appreciation · lunch breaks · seasonal celebrations

3. Gongfu Tea Ceremony

Gongfu means "skill acquired through practice," and the ceremony is exactly that: a slow, deliberate ritual of heating, pouring, and tasting that has been refined over centuries. Participants are guided through each step, learning not just how to brew tea but how to be present with it. In a world built for speed, this is a rare kind of pause.

Best for team retreats · milestone celebrations · intimate gatherings · client engagements
