LOCATION
Windham, NY, a picturesque town in the Catskill Mountains, is just 3 hours from both Boston and New York City. Known for its tranquil charm and scenic trails, Windham is especially breathtaking during the peak foliage weekend, with vibrant autumn colors at their most brilliant.
TIME
Our group of 6-10 will come together in this serene setting to live, cook, and practice wellness, enjoying the crisp fall temperatures, approximately mid-50s to low 60s Fahrenheit (13°C to 17°C) —perfect for outdoor activities and cozy gatherings.
SETUP
We'll stay in a private property house, sharing meals and engaging in daily wellness practices. The property includes a private tennis court, a fire pit for evening campfires, and plenty of space to relax and connect. With a focus on medium-level physical activity, the retreat emphasizes the beauty of nature, body health, and building social relationships. We'll hike, practice, cook together, and enjoy meaningful discussions, all surrounded by the stunning autumn landscape.
UNIQUE WELLNESS PRACTICES
Our retreat will also introduce participants to traditional Chinese 功法 (Gongfa) practices, including 八段锦 (Baduanjin) and 八部金刚功 (Eight-Part Vajra Practice). These ancient exercises are designed to strengthen the body, calm the mind, and promote overall wellness. Each morning, with sunrise, we'll start with these gentle yet powerful movements, setting a mindful and energizing tone for the day ahead.
